WCh -
MEN's TEAMS:
TOP- 12-Teams |
German
|
In the new millennium -
with the exception of 2001
(Gent) by
Ivankov squad
Belarus -
went all the WCh Team titles
to
CHINA (6x)
and by
JAPAN's four
silver and one bronze medal
also the most
team medals
to Asia.
|
|
Only the
USA
(2x silver,
2x bronze)
made it onto the podium,
as well as once again
Russia
(runners-up 2006),
two times
Germany
(bronze 2006, 2007)
and again, and finally
in 2001 in Ghent,
also the Ukraine.
While
these - as well as
Belarus and
Romania -
could not keep their
dominant positions of the recent
good two decades,
it has stagnated
a bit in
Italy and
also in
France.
Above all, the British and the
Brazilian strive
forward -
certainly inspired
by its Olympic
host roles and
also the historical
Turn nation
of Switzerland
is waiting with an imposing
forward development
on ...!
And than JAPAN won their 6th Gold medal
after a break of 37 years again in Glasgow 2015, but the bigger sensation
was the silver medal, which was won by the British hosts - the first
team medal ever in history for Great Britain. Top favorite and title holder
China won bronze only ...
But in Doha 2018 Chinese Men's team won its 12th gold medal in history in a dramatically fight up to the high bar subdivision against RUSSIA. Bronze went to the titleholder Japan ....
* 2019 Stuttgart: Team Russia won its very first WCh team titel, in front of top
favorite China and a young Japanese Team ... and the 12 best nations
are qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo ...
* Liverpool 2022 saw China
again as the winner for the 12th time. Japan and Great Britain were
rewarded with the medals after instabilities and great catching up...!
* 2023, in Antwerp, JAPAN started
with a large lead over USA and GBR and already looked like the first
gold contender in the preliminaries, after the Chinese probably did not
take this WC seriously and only just reached the team final in eighth
place, but then won the silver medal after a significant improvement
and the best ring performance. Excellent floor performances and only
one fall (horse) earned the USA the bronze medal ahead of Great
Britain, who were too unstable with four faults.
