At the traditional and 44th Nissen Cup 2006 in Savognin, Switzerland, the Chinese Huang Shanshan won the very fist world cup event for her country. On second came Karen Cockburn followed by her teammate Rosannagh McLennan.

In men's Olympic individual category Yasuhiro Ueyama (JPN) won in front of the German Adam Goetz and the Chinese Que, Zhisheng.
Villafuerte / Mooij (NED) and Cockburn / MacLennan (CAN)won the synchro events.....

... a World Cup (A) and Junior Competition
Coming weekend, August 25 - 26, the oldest international trampoline competition NISSEN CUP 2006 - will be held in Savognin, Switzerland.
Together with the world cup in Germany (one week after Nissen Cup), this will be one of the two last competition to gather world cup points for the World Cup Final in GBR in November.

Canada wins two gold medals at the 2006 Pan American Trampoline Championships, which were held in Monterrey, Mexico last week.

Two-time Olympic medallist Karen Cockburn and Jason Burnett - all of Toronto - won gold medals last weekend at the Pan American trampoline championships.
In women’s trampoline, Cockburn took the title with 37.3 points. She finished ahead of Brittany Dirck of the U.S., in second at 35.7 and Rosannagh MacLennan of Toronto third at 35.5. .

At the last Executive Committee (EC) meeting of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) held in March 2006, the President of the Trampoline Technical Commitee Erik Juhl Mogensen, had proposed to organize the European Cup for Clubs as a test event in Odense/DEN in 2007.
The decision of the EC was that such an event must be organized under perfect conditions, as the 2005 Birmingham General Assembly had decided to cancel the European Cup Events.
