ACROBATICS: 19th Stars above the Boug River 2010

The Vinnista Association of Sport Acrobatics invited international junior and senior acrobats to participate in the 19th “Stars above the Boug River” tournament, February 24 – 27 in Vinnitsa (UKR).

Out of 13 participating countries, senior gymnasts from Russia, Belgium, Great Britain and host Ukraine were most successful.

Russia topped the Men’s Pair and Women’s Group (photo, left)  rankings, with an extra Silver in Men’s Group.

2009 24th European Championships Acrobatic Gymnastics

From 2009 September 28 to October 04 took place the 24 anniversary of European Championships of Acrobatic Gymnastics.
Host were the PORTUGUESE TRAMPOLINE & SPORTS ACROBATICS FEDERATION.

Russia (womens trio and mens four), Belgium (mixed pair), Belarus (womens pair) and Bulgaria (men's 4) are the new title holder 2009.
The last competitions in Vila do Conde will attribute the all-around European titles for 2009.

2009 WORLD GAMES: Acrobatic Gold medals went to five different nations

On Monday, July 20 the trampoline and acrobatic gymnastics competitions of the 2009 WORLD GAMES in Kaohsiung, started with their first decisions:
<< The USA mixed pair Kristin ALLEN / Michael RODRIGUES (< photo, left) won the gold medal with a score of 28,806, followed by the Belgium pair Julie VAN GELDER / Menno VANDERGHOTE (28,653) and the Brits Katie AXTON / Nicholas ILLINGWORTH on bronze rank. The Belgians grapped gold at the women's pair with Tastana DEVOS / Florence HENRIST...

Acrobatic Gymnastics Symposium Veliky Novgorod

 *fig-press : --  At a round table meeting held parallel to the 2008 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, the idea to organise a symposium on the development of Acrobatic Gymnastics surfaced during a series of intense discussions.
The idea has now taken shape and a symposium is planned for August 23, 2009 in Veliky Novgorod (RUS) and in conjunction with the second FIG World Cup Series this year.
