The International Flanders Acro Cup 2003 was held last weekend in Puurs, Belgium, on April 11th to 12th.
Many gymnasts came from 12 different European countries and took part at the competition with th consequence of a very long competition day on Saturday. The event started at 9 a.m. and to finished after a distance of more than 14 hours, at 11:40 p.m.

To the first time in history the FIG will organize a world cup final of sports acrobatics. This event will held in Krasnodar, Russia. Host is the organizer of the worldwide wellknown tournament 'Vassili Machuga'.

Carisa Laughon, the Program Director of Sports Acrobatics (USA Gymnastics) informs, that the United States will not be sending a delegation to this year’s Acro Cup Albershausen (at the end of April). 'With the uncertain world situation and possible war, our athletes are hesitant to travel outside of the country. In addition, our federation’s President has instructed that no international travel be permitted at all if war begins with Iraq', so Carisa Laughon wrote.

The German Men's group of sports acrobatics is qualified in th official FIG world ranking list for the 1st World Cup Final, which will take place in Krasnodar in 2003, April 11-12.
