The 1st European Games of non-Olympic sports 2007 took place in Kiev, Ukraine, on July 20-23.
Altogether 600 athletes from 46 countries competed in 15 different sports.

The event, which is the equivalent to the World Games at the European scale, featured also an acrobatic gymnastics event.

In Memory of Henrik Chmielewskiego...
Almost tropical temperatures dominated at the 11th annual edition of the "International Spring Tournament of Sports Acrobatics 2007", which was held in Swidnica, in the South of Poland last weekend, in memory of the Polish acrobat Henrik Chmielewskiego (1917 - 1982).

Participants from six different countries took part, from the USA, Hungary, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Republic of South Africa and Germany.
The German delegation brought together acrobats from Saxonia and Wurttemberg.

For three days, the participants of the 5th ACRO-Cup 2007 presented exquisite acrobatics in Albershausen.

The winners of the Acrocup 2007 in the senior category were the European champions Anastasia Gorbatjuk/Alexander Barleben from Omsk (RUS).

In the junior category the world champions Liam Durbridge/Jonathan Stranks secured the Cup for themselves as had been expected. In the youth categories the winners were also British.

On Easter weekend in the Belgian city of Puurs the FIG World Cup Final of Acrobatic Gymnastics was held, which brought together the best acrobatics of the biennial world cup series 2005 - 07.
