On the all round day of the "19th GYMNASTIK INTERNATIONAL 2008" in Fellbach-Schmiden (GER) with 18 delegations from 16 countries, Alexandra SOLOVYEVA from Russia won in the elite class with a score of 65,506 points, only short in front of Johanna GABOR from Germany (TSV Schmiden; 65,457) and Israelite Koral KREMER (62,856).

For the 19th time already on 8th and 8th March 2008, the "Gymnastics International 2008", will take place as an official F.I.G.-tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Therefore, international top gymnasts from various countries will be our guests.
And that's not all!
Fellbach-Schmiden will apply for to become the centre of the German National team!

Japanese Talents met in Tokyo ...
From February 22 to 24 the 10th Japan Rhythmic G ymnastics Child Championships 2008 was held in Tokyo.
All together 908 (!) gymnasts took part representing all areas of Japan.
Japanese Child Championships are a yearly event and represents competitions for age group six to twelve years.
In the center point are no apparatuses but physical abilities and rhythmic performances firstly...
FUROSEMIDE ANTIDOPING CONTROLS
The International Gymnastics Federation (F.I.G.) publishes a statement of its Vice President and President of the Medical and Competitions Commissions, Dr. Michel LEGLISE, with extensiv explanations about Furosemide Antidoping controls. It ends with a caution to federations, coaches and athletes...:

Anna POBOKOVA (NED) will com back to international competitions again after her severe traffic accident in January 2007.
Her first competition will be in Calais (FRA) next weekend, February 29 to March 1.
After that, Anna POBOKOVA will visit the Obuda Cup 2008 in Budapest (HUN) together with the young Dutch talent Daniëlle Bubberman (1993) from the sports club SV Omnia 2000 - on March 29th 2008. Next terms for Pobokova will be two Grand Prix’s in spring 2008...
