The official drawing of lots for Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics competitions took place parallel to the FIG Council meeting in Chiba (JPN) on May 13, 2010.

As expected, no other gymnast could beat Daria Kondakova from Russia in the finals, she was the best with rope, hoop, ball and ribbon.
Nevertheless, on second and third places we saw more variety than usual winning one silver medal ??? from ???, and another ??? from ???

At the last weekend of April the Japanese Gymnastics Association organized a first national competition to select the candidates for the this years World Championships of Rhythmic Gymnastics, which will held in September in the Russian capital Moscow.

The former Russian rhythmic gymnastics Olympic champion Natalia Lavrova died on Friday in a car crash, as local Russian media reported.
Reports said that a car, which Lavrova's sister was driving, smashed into another vehicle on a rural road in the Penza region (700 km southeast of Moscow). Lavrova and her sister died immediately, police said. The circumstances of the car crash are being investigated.
