A record participation, seven competition days, nine decisions
The 27th World Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics which will take place in Baku (AZE) from Oct. 3rd - 9th 2005 will be a very large event: Nine decisions will be seen during seven competition days, overall 370 gymnasts take part in the event: 150 individual gymnasts and 21 groups - this is a new participation record in RG World Championships.

The first two apparatus finals of the Grand Prix Final/ Berlin Masters in Rhythmic Gymnastics were won by the Russian Olga Kapranova In the rope final she pöaced ahead of Olympic silver medalist Irina Tchatchina (RUS) and Natalia Godunko (UKR).
In the ball final she won over Vera Sesina (RUS), who surprisingly won yesterday’s all-around, and Inna Zhukova (BLR).
