Last weekend was held the Rhythmic Gymnastics competition of the 15th Asian Games in Doha (Qatar).
Best of all-around was the 24 years old Aliya YUSSOPOVA from Kazakhstan with a total score of 63.925.
On second place came the Japanese Yukari MURATA. She scored 59,125, followed by the Chinese XIAO Ming with 58,525.

After the preliminary rounds of Wednesday and THursday the following top teams were qualified for the Sunday's final of the AEON CUP 2006" of rhythmic gymnastics in Mie, Japan:
GAZPROM (RUS) with 224,475 points, on second place the DERJUGINA SCOOL (UKR; 220,525), FOLLOWED BY DINAMO MINSK (BLR; 217.950) AND NEFCHTI (197,575; AZE):
At the Sundays final the favorite Russian team "GAZPROM" won the 2006 trophy of the "AEON CUP"...

Russia demonstrated its leading position at the 6th WORLD CUP FINAL of Rhythmic Gymnastics which finished in Mie (Japan) today:
Vera SESSINA was the triple winner at the individual finals and the Russian group won one of the group finals in the Sun Arena of Mie.
One gold medal was won by Natalia GODUNKO (rope) for Ukraine and the other one by Byelorussian group, beating the Russian antagonist with 3 hoops & 2 clubs.

This week and coming weekend Japanese Gymnastics Federation welcomes the elite of gymnasts and cubs worldwide to a highligt of rhythmic gymnastics:
To the 13th time the AEON CUP' - the inofficial world championships for club teams will follow by the FIG's 6th World Cup Final of the best eight gymnasts per apparatus of the world cup ranking list.
The events held in Southern Japan, in the Province Mie. Venue is the 'Sun Arena of the city Ise-Shima.

The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku will host the 23rd European Championship of Rhythmic Gymnastics next year.
Shahin Kazimzade, press secretary of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation informed, that the news was announced during the contract conclusion between Azerbaijan Federation and the Union of European Gymnastics (UEG) this week.
