All-around and two final events by Johanna Gabor
The 18th "GYMNASTIK INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2007" was held at the German top center of rhythmic gymnastics in Schmiden near Stuttgart .
Surprisingly, the German champion Johanna Gabor won the all-around (62,814) against the Russian Karolina Tkalina (61,381) and also two finals (hoop and clubs).
Germany's Olympian Lisa Ingildeeva came in fourth place, was third with clubs but didn't get a nomination for the coming world cup next weekend in Kiev...

"SCHMIDEN INTERNATIONAL 2007“ comes to its 18th edition on March 10 -11th 2007. Competitions will take place at the new built "GymnasticsForumFellbach" (Schmiden Sports Centre).
Next to “Berlin Masters” (GP Series) this is the biggest and most important international meeting of rhythmic gymnastics in Germany in this spring, the year of European and World championships 18 month before the Olympics in Beijing.
The German visitors will experience the comeback of the Olympian and 11-times German Champion Lisa Ingildeeva.....

After winning Saturday's all-around qualification the Russian star Alina Kabaeva also won all the apparatus finals on Sunday in Moscow.
Olga Kapranova (three apparatuses) and Vera Sesina (rope) also won all the silver medals for the Russian hosts.
The bronze medals went to just two other gymnasts: Alyia Garayeva (KAZ; rope and ribbon) and to Aliya Yussupova (KAZ; hoop and clubs)...
Grand Prix started with total Russian triumph
After winning the all-around qualification on Saturday the Russian Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva won also all the four apparatus finals at the first Grand Prix of the new season in Moscow:

At the coming weekend the new series of competitions in Rhythmic Gymnastics in the pre-Olympic year will begin with the first event of GRAND PRIXs 2007. After a total of nine competitions it will culminate in the grand final, the end of a long year of competitions, in November in Innsbruck, Austria.
