All Japan Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Championships

All Japan RG Club Championships was held in Tokyo, last weekend.
Surprisingly not the long time leading Japanese AEON Club was the winner this year, but new champion was the ADACHI RG Club and won the gold medal, followed by HIKOSEN RG Club and on third came the wellknown AEON RG Club.
The elite individual all-around title was won by  Mai Hidaka (ADACHI RG Club), Riko Anakubo from AEON ranked on 3rd. ....

VERA SESSINA elected to athletes’ commission

--- Following a vote held parallel to the Olympic Games in Beijing on August 24, 2008, Ms Vera Sessina (RUS) was elected to the FIG Athletes’ Commission, where she will represent Rhythmic Gymnastics.

At the 2007 World Championships in Patras (GRE), Vera Sessina placed second in the All-Around competition, winning the Rope, Ribbon and Team competitions.

World Cup in Irkustk - Tournament in Varna
Winning not only the all-around but also all the four world cup finals the Russian top gymnasts dominated also the last world cup event before the Olympic competitions.
Evgenia KANAEWA was the best at the first day's all-around qualifications in the Siberian metropolis Irkutsk, last weekend, and won the world cup final events with all the four apparatus final and looked like the biggest and hottest favorite for the Olympic...

IRINA DERIUGINA APPEALS TO CAS AGAINST SANCTIONS

FI* FIG Office,: ---  Ms Irina Deriugina (UKR), member of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee, has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Lausanne against the sanctions issued her by the FIG Presidential Commission and revised by the FIG Appeal Tribunal.
