At the coming weekend the new series of competitions in Rhythmic Gymnastics in the pre-Olympic year will begin with the first event of GRAND PRIXs 2007. After a total of nine competitions it will culminate in the grand final, the end of a long year of competitions, in November in Innsbruck, Austria.

From February 23-25, the 6th Japanese Childrens Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics were held in Tokyo.
This year 892 gymnasts from 374 clubs took part in these important national competitions which are a really exciting and important event for the future of rhythmic gymnastics in Japan!
Winner of 3,4 grade was Rie Ameshima (<< photo left) from the Takarazuka Sunny RG Club., and 1st place of 5,6 grade was Karen Yanagawa from AEON.

The Managing Director of the office of the INTERNATIONAL GRAND PRIX Committee of Rhythmic Gymnastics, the Austrian Heide Bruneder (Vienna), confirmed today the 2007 circuit of nine Grand Prix events in total, which will be completed with the number ten, the 2007 GRAND PRIX FINAL, hosted by the Austrian City Innsbruck in November....
