This weekend took place the "21st Gymnastik International" in Fellbach-Schmiden, near the Svabian metropole Stuttgart in the South of Germany.
Schmiden is the German top center of rhythmic gymnastics.
To this tournament with big tradition came gymnasts and groups from 16 different nations, among of them six national groups.
Best of all-around and winner of three finals was the Ukrainian Alina MAXIMENKO, in front of Germany's big hope, Jana BEREZKO-MAGGRANDER who ranked second and won the robbon...

The 10th anniversary of Holon Grand Prix had finished the first day competition and again Evgeniya Kanaeva was the queen of the rhythmic gymnastics world tour here in Israel.  Evgeniya Kanaeva with a quality performance won the all-around, followed by teammate Daria Dmitrieva, the two times silver medallist at the finals.
On Saturday's finals Kanaeva was successfully with hoop, clubs and ribbon. Russian teammate Daria Kondakova won with the ball.

<< Olympic and World Champion Evgenia Kanaeva won the all-around at the first stage of the first 2011 Grand Prix event of Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup "Gazprom", which took place in Moscow's Universal Sports Hall of Friendship. Kanaeva scored a total 114.55 points and won the tournament. The second and third places were taken by Russians Daria Kondakova (111.45) and Yana Lukonina (109.50). It was not aneasy task for the Grand Prix Committee of the European Circuit to built the event calendar for the 2011 serie, because the Pre-Olympic year is full of top competitions already:
Continental and world championships, the Summer Universiade, the AEON Cup but also altogether 10 (!!) world cups between January to September...!

To the third time the former German world class gymnast Edita Schauler (-Enev) organized the "INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR CUP 2011 in her hometown Bochum (-Wattenscheid), and welcomed a big part of European talents in youth and junior categories.
Best of them was the Russian Elisabeta SOROKOVAYA, who won the junior category in all-around and the finals with hope and clubs. Winner with the ribbon was the Italian Giulia DI LUCA (< photo, left).
