Moutier/Athens, FIG: On March 13, The FIG Disciplinary Commission has dealt with the case of the Bulgarian gymnast Simona Peycheva, who was tested positive with Furosemide on August 19, 2003, during a random control made by the WADA (World Anti Doping Agency).
The FIG Commission decided to give a 10 months sanction, from the day of the control. This sanction will end on June 19, 2004.

is the last of the gymnastics disciplines at this Pre-Olympic competition series.
Monday, March 22nd is the first qualification day.
On Tuesday, March 23rd, the second part of the qualification will take place and the group's all-around is being held.
On the 3rd day (Wednesday, March 24th) the final in the Olympic individual all-around will take place. With this competition the Pre-Olympic GYM-events will end.

Anna Bessonova (109,275), 2nd of World Championships 2003, won the all around competition and all the finals of 2nd Grand Prix Tournament of 2004 series in Kiev (UKR). Natalja Godunko (UKR / 104,900) got 2nd place, Vera Sessina (RUS / 103,625) became 3rd of all around.
Today, Sessina, Godunko and Inna Zhukova from Belarus got all the medal places of the finals behind Anna Bessonova.

On weekend the second Grand Prix tournament of the 2004 series takes place in the Ukrainian capital Kiev. The tournament experiences a revaluation as general sample for the European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics at the same place.

The first Grand Prix tournament two weeks ago was dominated by Russian gymnast Irina Tchachina. It is expected that in Kiew now also vice-world champion Anna Bessonova starts into the olympic season.
