The Executive Committee of the European Gymnastics Union (UEG) decided on it's meeting in Prague to withdraw the European Championships of Rhythmic Gymnastics 2006 from the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation and the town of Portimao and hands over to the Russian Gymnastics Federation....

Russian star Vera Sessina was the best gymnast of 19th International MTM Tournament Narodni Dom for the City of Ljubljana Prize, where 73 gymnasts from 18 countries gathered to show their performances. Sessina showed exceptional routines and respectively won 5 gold medals. Svetlana Rudalova from Belarus got silver, Dinara Guimatova from Azerbaijan was third. Slovenian national champion Tjaša Šeme was fourth in front of Italian Beatrice Zancanaro.

Last weekend the international tournament of rhythmic gymnastics 'Pearls of St. Petersburg' took place in Russia.
Winner of the all-around groups decision was hos Russia with a score of 29,783, followed by Azerbaijan (25,050) and Israel (24,266).
The individual all-around won Russia's Evgenia Kanaeva (65,383), followed by her teammate Alexandra Soloveva (60,965) and Alla Garaeva (KAZ; 59,483)....
