After the start of the Grand Prix-Series 2010 in Moscow already in February, the 2nd Grandprix took place this weekend in Kiew.
Russia arrived without its stars due to the overly full international competition calendar and "only" sent Daria Dmitrieva, who won the all-around competition  (109,350), but remained without an apparatus win. 
Thus it came to a novum that only not-Russian gymnasts signed into the winner lists, Anna Gurbanova (AZE) even did so twice ...

At the weekend March 13 - 14 the Finnish Gymnastics Federation "SVOLI" organised its  "2010 National Finish Championships of Rhythmic Gymnastics".
Best Finnish gymnast was Julia ROMANJUK, winning altogether three titles:
At the all-around competition Julia Romanjuk got gold, Silja Ahonen from Hämeenlinna got silver and Johanna Vikkula got the bronze medal.
On Sunday, March 14th, at the finals Silja Ahonen took gold with the hoop and silver with the ball and rope...

Started on Thursday, March 11, the 5th Portimao FIG World Cup of Rhythmic Gymnastics, and the already traditional Portimao International Tournament for junior gymnast in its 24th edition finished at Sunday.
After Montreal and Debrecen it was the third event of the young season 2010, already! This is definitely one of the biggest meetings before the European Championships in Bremen (GER) in April and so 58 senior gymnast from 22 countries, 45 juniors from 21 countries...

After hte season's start in Montreal, followed by the second World Cup in Debrecen now the city of Portimao will organize the 3rd World Cup of Rhythmic Gymnastics of the 2010 circuit. 45 individual gymnasts and 15 groups representing 26 countries are expected to compete in Portimao, and all the top players are in! So  Russia will line up with Evgenia Kanaeva, Daria Kondakova, Daria Dmitrieva and Yana Lukonina,  Belarus will feature Meliltina Staniouta and Liubov Charkashyna, and we’ll...

Also at the  World Cup-Season start of rythmic gymnastics, the leading ambition of the gymnastics nation Russia is more than pressing:
With all 4 hand appartus wins by the Olympic winner and World Champion  Evgenia Kanaeva and the win of another 4 medals by Daria Dmitrieva (second with rope and ball) as well as Daria Kondakova (second with wheel and band) Russland achieved the maximum of all medal possibilities.
Three Bronze medals were left for Belarus' Melitina...
