Former German national coach Hirsch back to the roots

At the age of 66, Berlin-based former German national coach (men's artistic gymnastics) Andreas HIRSCH still feels far from too old to retire. After stepping down five years ago and after 18 years as acting national men's coach, the coach with over three decades of responsibility in top-level sport has passed on his immense experience over the last four years as a civilian coach at the Federal Police Sports School in Kienbaum since 2020.
According to the German Gymnastics Federation, he will now be working as a national base coach in his home city of Berlin (club SC Berlin) from March 1^st on.
