The French mixed pair Morgane OSYSSEK-REIMER / Léo SALADINO remained unblemished in the final of the pairs competition in Zurich's Hallenstadion, which was organised according to a special format, and won the trophy of the 41st SWISS CUP Zurich ...:.
The audience celebrated the second place of the pairing Kaylia NEMOUR (ALG) with the Swiss Christian BAUMANN with great enthusiasm and standing ovations, who thus also more than worthily competed in the last competition of his remarkable international career.
Third place went to the winners of the so-called ‘small final’, the mixed team with Karina Schoenmaier (GER) and the Italian Mario Macchiati (ITA). A nice story, as this constellation was only formed on Thursday morning after Macchiati's team partner was injured at the Memorial ArthurGander-Memorial letzten Mittwoch in Chiasso last Wednesday in Chiasso.
<< Germany's parallel bars world champion and Olympic silver medallist from Tokyo (2021) Lukas DAUSER also made his very last international appearance in front of a large audience. However, he and Lea Quaas from Chemnitz missed out on the semi-finals and the pair finished in seventh place. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old summarised a positive end to his extremely successful international career: ‘I had two things in mind: I wanted to enjoy playing in the German jersey one more time, and I managed to do that. I also wanted to go boom again, and that also worked out on parallel bars.’
With 14.950 points (D-score: 6.0), the silver medallist from the Tokyo Olympics achieved the best result in the preliminary round. Things didn't go ‘so well’ on high bar with 11.20 points (4.2), but Dauser didn't want to make the success of his endeavour dependent on the overall result. ‘I was in poor health, but there was no way I wanted to miss out,’ he said.
