Olympic RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS in Paris

The retirement of Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion Linoy Ashram (ISR) has left an empty throne, though there is no lack of contenders for it. Podium favourites in the individual competition include reigning World champion Darja Varfolomeev (GER), 2022 World champion Sofia Raffaeli (ITA), as well as 2024 European champion Stiliana Nikolova (BUL), World medallist Daria Atamanov (ISR) and Boryana Kaleyn (BUL), who is one of only six returning Olympians in the 24-gymnast field. Whatever happens, it will be historic.
* In Rhythmic Group Gymnastics World champions Israel, European champions Bulgaria, and a strong team from the People’s Republic of China will go head-to-head with Italy, Spain, Brazil, and host nation France in one of the least predictable contests in Olympic history. Fourteen groups will battle for the Olympic title.
