Next Europeans of Artistic Gymnastics 2025 in Leipzig

At its executive meeting in Dublin (IRL), the European Gymnastics Association (EG) awarded the next European Championships in 2025 to the German Gymnastics Federation (DTB: Deutcher Turner-Bund).
The DTB plans to host this major continental event from 26 - 31 May 2025 as part of the International German Gymnastics Festival (Turnfest) in Leipzig.

After the 1st European Championships in Frankfurt in 1955 (men only), after Leipzig (1961, women only), after Bremen (2000; men only), an the "experimental European Team Championships" in Riesa in 2002 and after Berlin (2011) and Munich (2022), this will be the 7th time that European artistic gymnastics championships have been held on German soil.
The city of German gymnastics festivals and sports city Leipzig will therefore be the first German venue to host the European continent's gymnastics elite for the second time.

* According to a proposal by the EC, the programmes of the 47th European Men's and the 46th European Women's Championships are to be expanded to include a so-called "mixed team final". The corresponding technical regulations are to be published at the beginning of September 2024 at the next EC Executive Board meeting in Budapest.
