23rd International Latvian Veterans Open 2024

The 23rd edition of the ‘International Latvian Veterans Opens’ on the 1st weekend in June 2024 in the Latvian capital Riga went extremely well.
The organisers were very impressed by the high sporting standard of the participants from seven European nations.
In addition to the winners in the individual categories, the winners of all age groups were also honoured, including, for example, Iris Maxeiner from Germany in the 60+ age group from TSV Kuecknitz (Schleswig-Holstein) and Iurii Tiomnii from Moldova in the same age group for the men.

The short break until the award ceremonies was shortened with entertaining and attractive programmes by circus artists and break dancers. Among others, Alexander Ermolaev, a world champion in fitness and bodybuilding as well as European champion and ‘Mr Universe’ in fitness, performed and received the appreciative and enthusiastic applause of the gymnastics veterans.
Culinary specialities were then served at the closing banquet: Uzbek dishes, wonderful cakes and, of course, the gymnastics ball and dancing to round off this wonderful international event.
