(3) FIG - WORLD CUP & AGF Trophy 2024 in Cottbus / GER (March 22 - 24)

* Info - :  In East-german area of Lausitz and four months before Paris, the last points for Olympic qualification will be at stake in trampolining!
Around 70 women and 90 men from 35 nations are expected in the "Gym City" to form a high-calibre starting field!
China, as the nation with the strongest vault, will be there with a full orchestra, as will France, Japan, Canada and Great Britain; the Belarusian Olympic champion will also be at the start, as will Russian athletes who will be competing under a "neutral flag" ...!
On the final day in Cottbus, the men's and women's Olympic trampoline classes were won by the expected Chinese favourites.

(1) FIG - WORLD CUP & AGF Trophy 2024 in Baku / AZE  (⇒ Feb 23-25)

* Info -:  The "Milli Gimnastika Arenasi" in the Azerbaijani capital is once again the venue for many international gymnastics competitions. Although trampolining has only been practised in Azerbaijan since 2013, this is the 7th time that the host association has organised a trampoline World Cup event!
This is also currently the penultimate opportunity for some athletes to qualify for the individual Olympic competitions. Athletes from 32 nations are expected to take part, including the synchronised and tumbling competitions.
In the men's and women's trampoline and tumbling competitions, the "AGF Trophy" of the host federation will traditionally be awarded to the gymnasts who have received the highest execution score in the individual programme, and for the first time the synchronised pairs will also be awarded this trophy.

♦ The COMPETITIONS  (2024, February 23 - 25)
♦ F I N A L S
* TRA -: Chinese double victory in the men's event: WANG Zisai (62.160) ahead of YAN Langyu (61.990).
Chinese victory also in the women's event: ZHU Xueying won with 56.920 points ahead of two Belarusian women (AIN).

* SYN -: CHINA's men's duo (51.090) ahead of Kazakhstan (50.520) and USA II (50.470. Germany with Lauxtermann/Vogel in 4th place.
The USA women's pair beat CHINA (49.010 : 48.850), bronze went to Georgia (47.530

* TUM -: Azerbaijani double victory in the men's event: Mikhail Malkin (31.100) ahead of Adil Hajizada (29.400)
France's Candy Briere-Vetillard won ahead of Greece's Alexandra Efraimoglou.

TRA - : Superior dominance of the Belarusian athletes under the country code "AIN".
Equally dominant Chinese favourites in the women's event with HU, Yicheng ahead of ZHU, Xueying.
* Athletes from German-speaking countries did not qualify.

TUM - : Azerbaijani double lead in the men's event; Greek Alexandra EFRAIMOGLOU leads the women's event ahead of French Candy Briere-Vetillard.
* Tumbling is unfortunately not an international discipline in German-speaking countries.

♦ Qualification (Feb 23):
* MEN's qualification -: After two routines in the qualification, Gabriel ALBUQUERQUE (61,790) from Portugal leads the starting field of 60 athletes, followed by four Belarusian athletes who are allowed to participate in FIG events under the abbreviation "AIN" (French abbreviation for "neutral individual starter"). In between them in fourth place was the Chinese WANG, Zisai (60.370). None of the German starters made it through to the semi-finals: German champion Fabian Vogel finished 27th and missed out on the next round by -0.3 points.
  ► Trampoline, MEN 
* WOMEN's qualification -:  ZHU, Xueying (56.900) ahead of two other Chinese compatriots, also followed by so-called "neutral athletes" from Belarus in 4th - 7th place, with Hikaru MORI from Japan in 5th place. The performance of the German trampolinists was also disappointing: With 52.730 points, Aileen Roesler was only -0.14 points short of reaching the semi-finals.
