♦♦♦ The OLYMPICS of Everyday Life
At the same time as the world championship finals of the stars of modern artistic gymnastics in Antwerp, Einbeck in Lower Saxony will be hosting the I. ♦♦ The initial spark for this kind of world premiere in modern gymnastics history was the first senior men's international competition in Tokyo 2022 between Japan and Germany, which found a great echo and interest worldwide, so that now in Einbeck there will not only be a rematch of these two nations, but also Japan's senior women's national team will celebrate its premiere and, even more: the age group competitors of the USA and Great Britain have joined. Thus, there will now be a four-country tournament of the gymnastics seniors of the ambitious competitive sport of the Olympic everyday life, in which the high values of maintaining fitness, performance and quality of life are the main focus.
♦ Jens KRUEGER, (* photo, right >) who has been working for Daimler Benz in Tokyo for more than a decade and is an active and inspired gymnast in his spare time, is the initiator of this form of competition and organised the premiere of the international competition in Tokyo last year.
It is thanks to his initiatives and international contacts and networks, personally also established as an active competitor at the 99th JAHNTURNFEST in August 2023 in the Jahnstadt Freyburg/Unstrut, as well as the active use of the European Gymnastics Service "GYMmedia INTERNATIONAL", that this will now become an attractive four-country gymnastics tournament for seniors.
Former high bar world champion Eberhard GIENGER and the world's oldest competitive gymnast, Johanna QUAAS (97), could be won as supporters, whose signatures under the certificates will certainly be attractive reminders of this event. Both will also be there in person - Johanna Quaas also in her capacity as representative of the 100th ANNUAL GYM FESTIVAL (2024, August 16 - 18), two weeks after the end of the Olympic Games in Paris.
When she did not yet know whether she would be able to attend Einbeck, she wrote a
► word of greeting to the participants in advance!
And when the participants of this first international senior tournament have determined their best, they will go home with a special memory that refers to the historical significance of the German gymnastics father Friedrich Ludwig JAHN:

♦ Interesting starting lists
The teams are mainly made up of the best gymnasts from the individual countries or the senior champions from their countries. Among them are also some former top athletes or ex-Bundesliga gymnasts.
There is even a world-famous name in the Japanese line-up: "Uchimura", but the world star Kohei UCHIMURA has not yet competed, but it is not surprising that his mother Shuko UCHIMURA is competing in the Japanese national team, as her gymnastics-loving family has significantly shaped the profile and career of her son, the world star.
In any case, in all national squads there are athletes closely associated with ambitious apparatus gymnastics who have succeeded in incorporating the not unassuming sport into their civilian professional lives and with enthusiasm:
