Emma Malewski: World Cup exit after foot injury

After an unfortunate dismount from the uneven bars during the final World Championships training in Frankfurt, Germany's Emma MALEWSKI from Chemnitz suffered a foot injury in her left ankle. As a result the 19-year-old European Beam Champion (Munich 2022) from TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf will miss the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, where the German girls will compete on Monday for the longed-for Olympic qualification. Thus, Karina Schönmaier from Bremen, who trains also in Chemnitz, will join the World Championships team.
