* B G --: The energy in the Exhibition Centre of Liverpool was incredible as we saw the titles for the women’s senior all-around, men’s senior all-around decided. Along with the women’s disability masters, women’s aspire apparatus and men’s under 18 all-around (junior*s) champions also crowned.
♦ The new women’s senior 2023 British Champion with a score of 55.300 is Alice Kinsella from Park Wrekin Gymnastics Club.
Joining her on the podium was Ondine Achompong from Aylesbury Gymnastics Academy in silver with 55.000.
Georgia-Mae Fenton proved that determination and never giving up are key to succe‘It feels amazing, ... despite falling on bars and beam, Georgia-Mae from South Essex Gymnastics took the bronze with a final score of 51.600.

♦ In the senior men’s competition, Adam Tobin from Falcons Gym Academy, took the British Champion title. After a strong competition, particularly on vault and parallel bars, Tobin achieved a fantastic overall score of 82.500. In silver with 81.800 was Jake Jarman from Huntingdon Olympic and taking the bronze from South Essex Gymnastics was Pavel Karnajenko with 81.400. The medallists were alternating between the top spot throughout the competition, showing just how close the competition is between these gymnasts.
* Elsewhere Max Whitlock wowed the crowd with his 15.100 routine on pommel horse, whilst Becky Downie made her mark on the beam and uneven bars.

* British Junior Championships
Today also saw the women’s aspire apparatus finals, and the men’s under 18 all-around. In the men’s under 18’s Alexander Niscoveanu from South Essex Gymnastics clinched the gold with an amazing score of 77.350. Zion Azerie from City of Birmingham won silver with 76.800 and in third from Manchester Academy was Reuben Ward 75.850.

In the women’s junior competition, after a strong and energetic performance on floor, Abigail Martin from South Devon has been crowned the 2023 Junior British Champion with a score of 49.550. Right behind her in silver and bronze were two Clwb Cymru Caerdydd gymnasts Ffion Begum and Ellie Lewis finishing with fantastic scores of 49.200 and 48.600 respectively. Abigail adds the British title to her successes from earlier this year when she became junior all-around champion at both the English and Welsh Championships.
