Final FIG World Challenge Cup Circuit 2020/21

In Mersin / TUR, the European Gymnastics City of 2020, the last FIG World Challenge Cup of the 2020/21 season took place. For Corona reasons, the competition was postponed from mid-June to autumn and ended the World Challenge Cup series 2020/21 after Szombathely / HUN (2020), Warna / BUL, Cairo / EGY, Osijek / CRO and last week in Koper, Slovenia.
→ Among the men in Mersin, the leader in the Challenge Cup classification on three machines, the Ukrainian Ilia KOVTUN, was at the start, whose overall victory on floor, pommel horse and parallel bars was out of the question, as his immediate pursuers were not there. The Swiss Henji Mboyo came third on the parallel bars and his compatriot Noe Seifert was sixth on the horse.
→ In the women's category, the Hungarian Csenge Maria BACSKAY won on the floor and her compatriot Zoja Szekely on the parallel bars. Romania's Maria Ceplinschi was the only double winner on beam and floor at this season's end. From the German-speaking area, only Austria's Marlis Männersdorf was represented, who finished eighth in the floor finals.
