After a long break the national Gymnastics Arena "Milli Gimnastika" of Azerbaijan's capital Baku is host again for a FIG World Cup event:
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, planned to be held in 2020 in Baku, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic takes place from May 07 to 09.
This World Cup is also an important possibility for qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games. Within the first two days of the competition, there will be Qualifications, and 8 individual gymnasts and teams in group exercises with the highest scores in the All-Around, will be able to reach the apparatus finals. On the last day of the competition, the winners of the finals will be determined. According to the nominative registration list, 159 gymnasts in total from 35 countries, including 60 individual and 99 gymnasts within group exercises (16 groups), are expected to participate at the event.
Traditionally, also the AGF Trophy Cup will be presented to the gymnast and team in group exercises with the highest execution scores received from the judges in this World Cup.
