*PREVIEW: 7th International ZAG-Junior-Cup 2020

TuS Vinnhorst sets signs of Motivation:

After Lower Saxony's artistic gymnasts from TuS Vinnhorst have laid a successful track for young gymnasts with the "International ZAG Junior Cup" in recent years, they absolutely want its continuation, even in this compliceted pandemic year: Despite the ongoing problems caused by Corona, the German hosts from the Club TuS Vinnhorst has now established itself in agreement with the regional gymnastics federation (NTB), it was decided to hold this international competition again this year! Thanks to the support of the business partners "ZAG" and "HanseCom", the organization is also financially secure. With this decision, TuS Vinnhorst would like to set a motivation for gymnasts and coaches.
→ This 7th edition of the "International ZAG Junior Cup" will be (!) - with currently permissible corona conditions and a coherent hygiene concept - on 21./22. November 2020, even if it will be difficult, especially for the potential foreign participants, to firmly plan their participation.

♦ Special Notes in the Corona Year:

  • To minimize the financial risk for the participants, participation can also be canceled free of charge at short notice and the reserved hotel rooms in the Hotel Plaza at the main train station can be canceled free of charge up to one day before arrival.
  • For the first time this year, there will also be apparatus finals in all age groups, so that not only the trophies and prize money for the best teams, but also many medals for the individual gymnasts can be won. Even if changes to the device finals are possible due to Corona, there will definitely be winners and places in every age group on all devices.

"So we hope that under these conditions there will be some top young gymnasts from Germany and may be even a few foreign teams at the start to give their talented boys a start in an international competition. There weren't many this year Opportunities to compete in a competition," the chief organizer Jörg Niebuhr looks optimistically ahead and hopes that a high-class starting field will emerge despite the Corona problem:
" We now benefit from the fact that we have always had a small and manageable event it is possible to hold a competition under Corona conditions. Each team will have its own place for warming up and then go individually from device to device. And it was already the case so far that a team with all gymnasts (no matter which Age group) does gymnastics together on every device. Contact with other gymnasts / trainers can therefore be avoided entirely."

  • Even if it is only a "non-binding registration" due to the cancellation options mentioned above. will be given, this is absolutely necessary (!), otherwise optimal planning and an overview of the participation control is not possible!
