On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Summer Olympics, the Munich Olympic Park is to experience the 2022 European Championships as a multiple sports event like Glasgow 2018. A total of nine sports will host their continental championships: athletics, artistic gymnastics, rowing, cycling and triathlon are set, as well as climbing, canoe racing, table tennis and beach volleyball. In total, this will be the largest sports party that the Olympic Park in the Bavarian metropolis will experience since it opened half a century ago.
4,400 athletes will fight for medals in 158 decisions. Artistic gymnastics for men and women will be about 12 European titles. Munich will host a gymnastics championship in history for the first time for the expected 311 participants from 50 nations ...:
