*E G --: In cooperation with the Local Organising Committees and in view of the current Covid-19 situation across Europe, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics agreed with the new date proposals for the postponed 2020 European Championships.
♦♦ The European Championships in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics will be held in Baku (AZE) from 9 to 13 December 2020, followed by
♦♦ Women’s Artistic Gymnastics from 17 to 20 December.
♦♦ Kyiv (UKR) will host the Rhythmic Gymnastics Europeans from 26 to 29 November.
The competition format remains the same as originally planned, including the Olympic qualification places.
EG-President Farid Gayibov explains: "These decisions were taken with the current information available from our National Federations and the situation in Europe as it is now. At the moment, we think that it is possible to organise these events in autumn. However, European Gymnastics will continue to evaluate the situation during the next months. Should the situation at a later date not be considered safe enough anymore, we will react accordingly. The health of the gymnasts, coaches, spectators remains our main concern.

In cooperation with the Local Organising Committees, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics (EG) has come to the following decisions regarding our events scheduled for 2020:
♦ European Championships in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation confirmed they still want to organise these Championships in autumn 2020. A new date is currently under discussion between the various stakeholders.
* A final decision will be made at the end of May
♦ European Championships in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics The French Gymnastics Federation can unfortunately not organise these Championships at a later date. Therefore, we are looking for a new host to organise this event in autumn 2020, if the situation allows it. If your federation is interested, contact the European Gymnastics office.
♦ European Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double Mini-Trampoline
The Swedish Gymnastics Federation can unfortunately not organise these Championships at a later date. Therefore, we are looking for a new host to organise this event in spring 2021. If your federation is interested, contact the European Gymnastics office.
♦ European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics
The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation confirmed they still want to organise these Championships in autumn 2020. A new date is currently under discussion between the various stakeholders.

♦ European Championships in TeamGym
European Gymnastics and the Danish Gymnastics Federation are in continuous cooperation about these Europeans. At the moment, the situation remains too unclear to make a final decision.

♦ European Gym for Life Challenge
The Icelandic Gymnastics Federation found a new date for this event next summer. Due to the proximity to the World Gym for Life Challenge mid-July 2021 in Portugal, an agreement was reached between European Gymnastics, FIG and the 2 LOCs to restrict to participants’ age to max. 19 years old.

♦ EUROGYM
This event will be postponed by a year. The age limit will be increased to 19 instead of 18, allowing all registered participants to still participate.

♦ Golden Age Gym Festival
As the risk of hosting a mass participation event uniting 2000 people in just a few months is too high, this event will be postponed by a year.
