Two weeks after the 40th Women's World Championships of artistic gymnastics in Stuttgart attracted numerous spectators from all over Germany today (27 October) in the Leverkusen Ostermann Arena. Against the backdrop of 1,600 spectators, the selection team1 from Germany won the coveted LEVERKUSEN CUP 2019 with 100.90 points.
Second place went to the national team from England with 99.70 points ahead of the team of "Topturns Zuid den Bosch" from the Netherlands (97.050).
A total of seven teams from six nations were at the start, in addition to Germany, teams from England, the Netherlands, Slovenia, South Africa and the Czech Republic as well as a few international individual gymnasts - including from Sweden.
♦ Best in all-around was Megan BRIDGE (51,250, photo, right) from Great Britain who showed only small weaknesses on the uneven bars, but with an incredibly strong Yurtschenko vault with 1.5 twist (14.350) could also decide the jump competition for themselves.
Dutchman Marit REIJNDERS scored the silver medal in a all-in-one with a smooth 51 points ahead of England's Jessica DAYKIN with 50.75 points.
