2019 EUROPEAN GAMES - Artistic Gymnastics

On Thursday, June 27 the Artistic Gymnastics competitions of the EUROPEAN GAMES started in the Minsk Arena.
Both the men and women battled for a spot in the all-around and apparatus finals. The top 18 with a limit of 2 per country and the top 6 with only one gymnast per country advance to these finals. Spread over two subdivisions, Europe’s top gymnasts gave the best of themselves.
Russia’s David Belyavskiy, the 2013 European all-around Champion, returned to international competition after skipping the European Championships in April to completely recover from injury ...

♦ Men's competitions:

With a score of 86.499, he cruised to the top of the leader board in the all-around, helped by an impressive parallel bars routine, good for 15.200 and the top spot on that apparatus as well plus placing second place on high bar and third on pommel horse. Second in the all-around is the ever consistent Artur Davtyan (ARM) and Lithuania's rising star Robert Tvorogal finished third.

After winning the all-around final Russia's David BELYAVSKY won his second gold in Minsk on pommel horse.
Also the other routinier, Ukrain's Oleg VERNIAIEV, won gold on parallel bars, after his silver medal in the all-around final...!

Belyavskiy's compatriot Angelina Melnikova, the 2014 junior European all-around Champion, posted the best all-around score in the women’s qualification, but also in the all-around final of the 18 finalists. Silver medal went to Lorette CHAPPY from France, followed by the Ukrainian Diana VARINSKA
