Slovenia ahead England and Germany -
... that was the order of the 43rd International Leverkusen Cup 2018 in the Ostermann Arena of Leverkusen (GER).
Gymnasts from seven nations offered 1,500 spectators an exciting gymnastics competition at a high, top international level in a great atmosphere.
For the first time, the victory went to SLOVENIA and this at its 23rd participation in this oldest European top-gymnastics tournament by format!
With a top score of 101,600 points, the SLOVENIA moved the national team ENGLAND I in a head-to-head race and with the touch of +0.05 points difference ahead (101,550) on rank 2, and also Team GERMANY I (101,200 points, with Isabelle Stingl, Kim Ruoff and Leonie Papke) was only a little behind on third place, this year with altogether 10 teams from seven different nations strong field of participants!

In the individual ranking of the four apparatus secured surprisingly Mandy MAHGOUB from the Netherlands of SV Pax Haarlemmermeer the all-around victory with 51,050 points and also won gold in the individual standings on the floor exercises.
Behind her was Jessica DAYKIN from England (national team - team 1) with 51,000 points, which also won gold on the uneven bars ahead of Lucija HRIBAR from Slovenia's national team with 50,500 points.

Isabelle Stingl (TSV Rintheim) was the best gymnast in all-around of German host with a score of 50,400 points, ranking on fourth place.
Leonie Papke (TSV Jetzendorf, coached by the German top club TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf ) won gold on uneven bars..
Tjasa Kysselef from the Slovenian national team was the best gymnast at the vaulting table
