European artistic gymnasts aiming for YOG participation

Today, Saturday June 23,  50 boys from 27 countries and 44 girls representing 25 European federation battled for their entry ticket to the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games which will be held in October in Buenos Aires (ARG). To be eligible to participate in theseYouth Olympic Games, the male gymnasts must be born between 1 January 2001 and 31 December 2002. The girls have to be born between 1 January 2003 and 31 December 2003.
The one and only qualifying moment took place on Saturday at Baku’s National Gymnastics Arena where the gymnasts competd  from 10am to 8.30 pm wich the following results ...:

For both boys and girls, Europe has 17 places available. However, the IOC Tripartite Commission has allocated one of Europe’s MAG quota places to the National Olympic Committee of Island, meaning there are still 16 places available on Saturday.
