2017 Leverkusen Cup: German Homecoming in front of England

With a convincing team performance the team GERMANY 1 won the traditional "Leverkusen Cup", an international artistic gymnastics Cup for female gymnasts for the 42^nd time (!) in the Ostermann-Arena of the host city Leverkusen:
With 98.75 points the German gymnasts with Lisa Schoeniger, Lara Hinsberger and Aiyu Zhu referred a national team from ENGLAND to rank 2 (97.35) with Laure Cooke (1), and Tomique Gibson (3)  followed by the team GERMANY II (96.25). The Italian team's defending champion, Alexia Angelini, could not defend the trophy thanks to Italy's team-mate.
Altogether eight teams from six nations offered the 1,500 spectators (!) an exciting tournament competition at a high international level and in a great atmosphere.
In individual all-around the British Laura COOKE proved to be the best and won with 49.10 points, followed by Germany's Lisa Schoeninger fom the "Schaefer Club Chemnitz, the club of the reigning world champion on balance beam ...
