Team Gold for Russian Girls

At 13^th European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, Russia won the second gold in the girls artistic gymnastics events: After gold with the team now Daria SKRYPNIK won in all-around, scoring 55,750 points, but with the same score Belgiums Axelle KLINKAERT was second (because bader E-note). The Bronze medal went to the second Russian gymnast, to Anastasia ILIANKOVA for 55,500 points.
On Wednesday 80 gymnasts from 33 countries had competed in the team competition including 23 complete nation trios in the team standings at which the two best individual performances were counted on each apparatus. Top favorite RUSSIA had set with 112.900 points confidently to the top, infront of BELGIUM (111.750) and then not to jeopardize until the end. GERMANY's TRIO surpriced with 107.700 and the bronze medal, followed by the Romanians (106.750) - one of the first surprises of these competitions! Than came the teams of Italy, France, the British girls and the Swiss trio on the ranks 5 to 8 ...

Already after the first of four groups has, as expected, RUSSIA's Daria Skrypnik (1 / 56,900), Anastasia Iiyankova (2 / 55,050) and Elena Yeremina (4 / 53.359), by a clear margin (+5.20) to the top set, followed by GERMANY (107.700) - with Tabea Alt (53.750 - currently behind two Russian women ranked 3rd, with Florine Harder (53.050) and Rebecca Matzon (51,100) - and than ITALY (106.650), with their best gymnast Martina Maggio (53.250 ) on rank 5. Currently Fourth, the British women (105.750) ...
- But after the second subdivision group, the GERMAN TEAM was ousted from the top form BELGIANS from 2^nd place: Nina Derwall waited with the second best all-around performance (56.100) on, behind repressed Axelle Klinckert (55.650), the second best Russian Illiankowa well as Tabea Old on ranks 4 and 5 ...
- As at the end of Romania girls with their best gymnast Ioana Crisan (7^th / 53.50) a brief point behind the German girls poured in fourth place, and the Ukrainians - even behind the Swiss (8. / 105.050) to see little was (9. / 104.150), it was a certainty that the German trio bronze had sure.

♦ In the individual all-around alleged by the end of the Russia's current European Junior Champion (Sofia 2014; uneven bars), Daria Skrypnik (photo, right), the leading position (56,900) after the preliminary round, followed by the two Belgians Nina Derwael (56,100) and Axelle Klinckert (55.650).
Behind the second Russian Anastasia Iliyankova (55,050), Germany's Tabea Alt (53.750) ranked the top 5 still in sight, but follow it with just a few tenths difference at least 8 other gymnasts, including Florine Harder (11) belongs, all of which are for top places in the Top Ten area are well in the final. The form on the day (Thursday) on the final day will decide!
