The BRITISH BOYS were playing their expected role on the first day of the gymnastics competitions of the 13^th European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 in Tbilisi, Georgia as favorite and won as two years in Utrecht before, consider the team competition. But also the best individual gymnast is a Brit: Joe Connor FRASER won the second gold medal in all-around final for his country, scoring 84,75 points. The other two medals went to Russia: Silver to Maksim SINICHKIN (83,250) and bronze to Artem ARNAUT (82,700).
In the team competition ITALY won the silver medal with +0,2 points more like RUSSIA (163,700), which came on second place two years before in Utrecht, when Italy won the bronze in 2013 ...! Only 0.4 points missed the improving from 6^th to fourth place SWISS trio a medal.
Behind France and Ukraine made the German boy a mighty leap forward: from 11^thplace two years ago - this time on an excellent 7th place!
At the end Great Britains boys were the best nation, winning four golden medals, followed by Russia (2 gold), Belarus and Switzerland (each 1 gold) ...

The Georgian hosts here in Tbilisi offer best conditions that allow the boys a bit of Olympic dream: "Competition hall, Warming-up area - everything at its finest, strong organization, short ways - all the best!" - praises not only German junior coach Jens Milbradt.
The expected duel UK vs. Russia failed to materialize surprising because the Russians do not presented so strongly in the first place.
The Italians, who won bronze in Utrecht two years ago, attracted although almost, but not undeservedly to the Russians over, shined especially by their technical elegance in the execution.
German boys made only two errors (floor, pommel horse), which, however, did not go into the team protocol and hence the target position, under the top eight, was fully achieved with the 7^th place and the proof of the positive upward trend.
