The junior British women recently won team gold at a four-way international meet against Germany, Italy and Brazil at Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club in Ipswich / Great Britain. The British team of Lucy Stanhope, Georgia-Mae Fenton, Alice Kinsella, Maisie Methuen, Abigail Solari and Latalia Bevan took the title with a score of 212.500 ahead of Germany in silver (212.150), Italy in bronze (211.800) and Brazil in 4th (208.250).
Best in individual all-around was Martina Maggio (54,60) from Italy in front of Rebecca Matzon (53,60), from Germany. Georgia-Mae Fenton (GBR) took the bronze in the all-around competition scoring 53.300. Georgia also topped the bars rankings with 13.950 and took second place on the beam (13.950). Lucy Stanhope also took second place on the vault with 14.000.
This international junior meet served as a dress rehearsal for the 13th European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 (EYOF), which will take place in Tbilisi / Georgia on 25 July.
