Five personalities of the international gymnastics - outstanding on their respective individual way - have been honored this weekend by the "International Gymnastics Hall of Fame" (IGHOF) in Oklahoma City, who have each achieved great things for themselves in a special way:
For the first time in addition to the two former world stars of artistic gymnastics Elena Zamolodchikova (RUS) and Valeri Belenki (AZE / CIS / GER) in 19th IGHOF-honoring a latitude or senior athlete here: Johanna Quaas (photo, left) from Germany , As early as 2013 eye taken into the "Guinness Book of World Records" as the oldest active competitive gymnast, is the citizen of Halle shortly before her 90th birthday in coming November is still active with gymnastic competitions and has an exceptional performance. After almost a week in the US and by great ceremony Johanna Quaas came back very happy at home in Germany again:
" This was certainly one of my best experiences in my quite long life! This award by such a world star like Nadia Comaneci and the honor by the 'International Hall of Fame' moved me deeply, I'm just a senior and general gymnast who likes my sport. The warm, human kind, with all new friends received me in the US and I felt at home in this heartly GYMfamily - it has overwhelmed me!
