Pesaro: Third Rhythmic Worldc Cup within the last three Weeks

All-around World champion Yana KUDRYAVTSEVA from Russia picked up three gold medals at the Pesaro World Cup in Italy, continuing a run of strength that began at the Bucharest World Cup two weeks ago and in Lisbon (POR) at the end of March. The 17-year-old Muscovite performed impressively with all four apparatus, scoring a competition-high 19.100 for her clubs routine. For the second time this season, Kudryavtseva tallied above 75 for the second time this season, ending with 75.050.
Russian Compatriot Margarita Mamun (RUS) was second behind Kudryavtseva, scoring her own 19 (19.000 with the Ball this time) but managing only 18.100 with the Ribbon, normally one of her best events. Aleksandra Soldatova (RUS), winner of the Lisbon World Cup in March, finished third after a bobble with the Hoop (17.600) but polished and promising performances with the other three apparatus. 2014 World All-around bronze medallist Ganna Rizatdinova (UKR) finished fourth in Pesaro, trailed by Melitina Staniouta (BLR) and Marina Durunda (AZE), whose star continues to rise.

Russia, which fell below standard at the 2014 World Championships, showed consistency in the All-around in Pesaro, scoring competition-high 17.900s for each of its performances, but failed to medal with either routine in event finals, finishing sixth with both the 6 Clubs and 2 Hoops as well as the 5 Ribbons. Italy, second All-around, added the title with the 6 Clubs and 2 Hoops, trailed by Belarus and Israel. The surging Israeli team won the 5 Ribbons, followed by Ukraine and Bulgaria.
