Aleksandra Soldatova from Russia has secured the Rhythmic Gymnastics all-around gold at the World Cup season opener. The Russian scored a total of 73.600 points to prevail over compatriots and multiple 2014 world champions Margarita Mamum (73.250 points) and Yana Kudryavtseva (72.400) at the 2015 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Lisbon.
The 16-year-old Soldatova, who was the 2014 Russian nationals all-around bronze medallist, took first place in the Clubs (18.400) and a silver with the Ball (18.100).

Mamum actually won on three apparatuses - Hoop, Ball and Ribbon - but she dropped the Clubs a number of times to miss out on the all-around title. Kudryavtseva collected a silver in the Clubs.
The 2014 Worlds bronze medallist Yeon Jae Son of South Korea placed second in the Hoop while two-time Olympian Neta Rivkin of Israel picked up a silver in the Ribbon. Belarus' Katsiaryna Halkina was able to win bronzes in Hoop and Clubs while Azerbaijan's Marina Durunda claimed bronze in the Ball and Ribbon.
