At the first final day top qualifier Oksana Chusovitina (UZB), who is preparing to qualify to her 7th Olympics, vaults a solid handspring layout front twist and sticks her 1,5-twisting Tsukahara for an average of 14.875 and at her 16th participation here in Cottbus she won her 13th golden medal since 1989. So she on second place in the eternal ranking list of this tournament after the German legend Maxi Gnauck (18 victories)
The final day of the 39th Tournament of Masters in Cottbus saw world class athletes compete on beam and floor for the women and also on vault, parallel bars and high bar for the men... So Turkey’s Umit Samiloglu and Switzerland’s Pablo Braegger both score 15.000 to tie for the title. Samiloglu shows a nice Cassina and Kolman. Braegger also shows a Kolman and Tkatchevs. Nestor Abad (ESP) wins the bronze medal. Alexander Shatilov (ISR) struggles after his Tkatchev half so no medal for him on his 28th birthday, but Epke Zonderland failed his Kolman-Gaylord combination ...

At the opening of the 2015 FIG- Challenge Cup circuit from March 19 to 22 at the "39th Tournament of Masters" in Cottbus (GER) the first two days of competition include the qualifications of each apparatus. With their incredible record attendance of 16 starts since 1989, the Olympic silver medalist on vault from Beijing (2008), the Uzbek Oksana Chusovitina sat in the year of her 40th birthday (!) on vault again to the top of the whole starter field and thus seeks their 13th win her in Cottbus to. For the host youngster Pauline Traatz managed during their Challenge Cup debut in eighth straight away the final on vault In the Lausitz-Arena shone among men of Japanese exceptional athlete and former world champion at the floor exercises, Kenzo Shirai with the daily high score of 16,300 (!) points. Likewise for the finals on Saturday the German gymnast Matthias Fahrig qualified on second place behind on the floor.
On second day of qualification Igor Radivilov (UKR; vault), Oleg Verniaev (UKR; parallel bars) and Epke Zonderland (NED; high bar) were on top at these apparatus.
On women's side came the best rom Romania with Andreea Munteanu, in front of a very new German talent, Kim Janas behind her, and on floor Martha Pihan-Kulesza won the qualification round, followed by Munteanu ...
