Simone Biles and Oleg Verniaev win the AT&T American Cup 2015

The Two-time reigning World all-around champion Simone BILES (USA) added another title to her growing collection, taking her first AT&T American Cup all-around crown in front of home state fans in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday, March 7. The 17 years old powergirl from Spring, Texas, posted the highest score on all four apparatus. She totaled sensational 62.299 (!) points, winning by 4.467 over countrywoman MyKayla Skinner. Biles made one obvious mistake, losing her balance on the balance beam, but she didn’t fall. Her margin of victory blew away the previous American Cup women’s record of 2.434 (under the Code of Points system, since 2006).
On the men’s side, Ukraine’s Oleg VERNIAEV (21) defeated Japan’s Ryohei Kato by .499. Americans Donnell Whittenburg and Sam Mikulak were third and fourth.
