FIG lifts vice president's suspension

The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has lifted the suspension of its vice president, Michel LEGLISE, who had been sanctioned for his role in overseeing a judging course. FIG said its appeal tribunal reduced the French official's sanction to a warning for "negligently failing to properly supervise the conduct of and marking" at a judging course.
The governing body said now Leglise can resume the vice presidency "without being in charge of any given discipline."
Leglise had challenged his two-year ban from the governing body's presidential commission. He had been suspended in September 2014 through August 2016. Leglise was the most senior official among several implicated following a training course for rhythmic gymnastics judges held in 2012 in Bucharest, Romania.
