NADIA COMANECI WILL BE THERE
As soon as the news released regarding the choice of Bucharest (ROU) to host the European Championships Artistic Gymnastics 2017, all eyes turned to the one that bears the image of gymnastics beyond all boundaries Nadia Comaneci. From the United States, her home country today, she shared her enthusiasm. "I was very excited to learn that the 2017 European Championships will be held in Bucharest, where the first Europeans were held in 1957. To be able to host these very important championships while celebrating the 60th Anniversary will be wonderful for all Romanians.  Personally, it will also be the 40th Anniversary of my second win in the European Championships All Around in Prague.  I pledge to do all that I can to make these 2017 Europeans the best ever!"
For those who still do not know, the Romanian gymnast performed a perfect 10.00 at  the Olympic Games in Montreal (CAN) in 1976, a result that would create the icon she is today in the world.
