On the final day of "London Collections: Men" (UK’s biggest showcase of menswear), the highlights included the wellknown British fashion designer Sir Paul Smith's flexible, travel-friendly, crease-free suit Monday was the fourth and final round of shows in the normally three-day long London Collections:
Men schedule and, for those without a chauffeur-driven British Fashion Council Mercedes to zip around in, fatigue began to creep in. That, however, is what coffee, carbohydrates and free alcohol were invented for, at least for those not abstaining for the month - full steam ahead for the final day!
Sir Paul Smith chose a gallery at Hauser and Wirth on Savile Row to launch ‘A Suit to Travel In’, his new 100% wool suit made from a high twist yarn which, apparently, is extremely crease resistant.
What better way to show that you can easily move around in a garment than to have someone perform gymastics in it? And not just someone, but an Olympic medal-winning gymnast - Max Whitlock, part of the British team that won bronze in 2012, performed amazing feats together with a team from the National Centre for Circus Arts.
