Vietnamese Gymnast Nguyen Ha Thanh announces retirement

Hanoian artistic gymnast NGUYEN Ha Thanh has decided to retire from competitive sports at the age of 26 years to focus on coaching. SEA Games winner Thanh, who is one of many such athletes residing in the capital, said to the press he is unlikely to recover his old athleticism after his knee surgery and would therefore like to coach the Ha Noi team instead. Nguyen Ha Than participated at the World Championships Rotterdam (2010), Tokyo (2011) and Antwerp (2013)Thanh became the first gymnast to win a gold medal for Viet Nam at the Artistic Gymnastics FIG World Cup in Czech in 2012 and won a silver medal on still rings 2013 in France.
