The last International Artistic Gymnastics Tournament of the year, the 21st Mikhail Voronin Cup 2014, wrapped up in Moscow on December 17.
During the two days of the annual event, gymnasts including 87 men and 53 women competed for the medals.
Russia's Ekaterina KRAMARENKO won the all-around title with a score of 55.650 points to take gold leaving Kristina Kruglikova with silver (52.850) and Anna Pavlova, who now competes for Azerbaijan, with bronze (51,700). Russia also won the team competition, with the Dynamo club team taking second place and the top three rounded out by Finland.
Japan's Kazuma KAYA - winner of the 2013 Junior Tournament Yokohama - won the men's all-around with a score of 87.650 points. Russian Mikhail Kudrashov finished second with a score of 86.500. He was followed by Vatara Tanigawa, Japan (85.800).
Noting that his favourite events are rings and vault, Kudrashov said it was difficult to compete at the end of the season. "It's the end of the season, so of course, it's hard, but I was able to pull it together and perform well. Of course, the most important meet with be Russian championships, where world and European team members are chosen. There are a lot of important meets next year", he said to the Russian media.
