4. Mexican Open 2014

For the fourth time the Mexican Gymnastics Federation had invited to its "Mexican Open 2014", which took place this weekend in Acapulco.
The men's competition was won by the Columbian Jossimar CALVO with 88.750 points followed bythe US-American Danell Leyva (87.950) and the Japanese Kenzo Kaneko (87.300). Germany's Andreas Bretschneider ranked on fourth  place (84.550), and risked again is currently difficult element of artistic gymnastics, the somersault  with double screw (= single element of difficulty for the category "H") successfully and  celebrated with index 7.2 the most difficult and highly-rated high bar exercise (15,600) of the day.
Two international "evergreens" given in Acapulco the scene of the Women's competition:
Poland's Marta PIHAN-KULESZA won with a score of 54.450 and the 42-year-old Grand Dame of the international artistic gymnastic scene, Oxana Chusovitina (UZB) covered with still respectable 53,000 points the third rank. Between these two seasoned and amazing personalities of the artistic gymnastics scene placed with Emily Little (53.550) from Australia, a representative of an entirely different generation ...
