DTB-Pokal 2014: Oleg Verniaev and Larisa Iordache won World Cup

The highest prize money (15,000 Swiss francs) conceded in men's all-around competition of the 32^nd DTB Cup Ukrainians Oleg VERNIAIEV, winning with 91,731 in front of Sergio SASAKI JUNIOR from Brazil (90.565) and Donnell Whittenburg (90.398) from USA.
As so often Germany's Fabian Hambüchen after its deficits at the pommel horse chased with a rapid catch-up afterwards, but managed despite impressive stretching exercise on high bar (16.133!). At the end he ranked on fourth place, but still referred nevertheless such a strong gymnasts as Yusuke Tanaka (JPN), Nikolai Kuksenkov (UKR), the Russians and the Japanese David Beliavsky and Yusuke Saito on the ranks.
On Saturday the women's all-around of the FIG World Cup in the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart had won the Romanian Larisa IORDACHE with the strong performance of 59.766 points ...

With best performances of three apparatus, the World bronze medalist of this year and former world champion (beam, WCh 2013), the already 28-year-old Venezuelan Jessica LOPEZ to second place, surpassing even her World Cup result (8^th in all-around) in Nanning with 57.799 points.
Stuttgart's Kim BUI (GER) was third with 56.665, while her teammate Lisa Katharina Hill spite maximum value on the uneven bars (14.966) fell back on rank 8. after a crash from balance beam unfortunately.

This 32^nd edition of the DTB Cup 2014 (28 - 30 11) was held to ancestral time in the fall for the last time. In the course of changes in the World Cup series, the sequel the 33^rd DTB Cup is now planned 2016, from March 18 - 20, and will be part of a three part series that consists of Glasgow, Stuttgart and an alternate city in the US. Tokyo had withdrawn its hosting of FIG out of this series.
